Munich residents raise 60,000 euros for a birthing center in the mountains of Nepal.

 

Munich, 15 November 2023 – Last night, 150 guests, including numerous celebrities, gathered in the stylish ambiance of the Hyperion Hotel in Munich to participate in Jochen Ofner’s charity event. The CEO of Profinanz Capital Partners and founder of the Share Happiness Foundation organized a special evening that was not only emotionally moving but, above all, charitably inspiring.

Invited by Jochen Ofner, his son Nicolay, and his wife Letizia, 150 personalities from the worlds of show business, business, and society attended. The event aimed not only to entertain people but, more importantly, to do good and help the poorest of the poor in Nepal.

Thanks to generous support from celebrities and business partners, an impressive sum of €60,000.00 was generated at the event for the construction of a new birthing center and a small medical station in the mountains of Nepal.

After welcoming the guests and showing an emotional film about the foundation’s projects in Nepal, Jochen Ofner honored seven „Love Ambassadors“ for their exceptionally generous donations. Bayern 3 presenter Bene Gutjan then professionally guided the program, featuring Mike Kraus and his band performing the self-composed song „Helping Hand“ live. They were supported by gospel singer Joan Orleans, who later sang „Hallelujah“ as a preview during the auction of her living room concert. The atmosphere of the evening was characterized by warmth and generosity.

Special thanks go to the numerous prominent personalities and business partners who donated exclusive prizes for the raffle and tombola to raise funds for the projects of the Share Happiness Foundation. These include Rufus Beck, Kiddy Citny, Djamila & Wolfgang Fierek, Mike Kraus, Peter Maffay, Michaela May, Heiner Meyer, Manuel Neuer, Joan Orleans, Axel Schulz, The Scorpions, Anna van den Hövel, as well as Aethos Hospitality, Bentley Munich, Dr. Hauschka, H-Hotels, Lamborghini Munich, Living Hotel das Viktualienmarkt, Merkur Bank, Parkhotel Egerner Höfe, Ludwig Reiter, Roomers Munich, Rosewood Munich, Schöffel Foundation, Sévigné, St. Ribs Restaurant, Max Vela, and all others. Without their support, this event would not have been possible.

dr. Jochen Ofner, whose passion for social engagement led to the creation of the Share Happiness Foundation in 2014, expressed overwhelming happiness about the achieved result: „I am completely overwhelmed by the generosity of our guests. With the funds collected, we will be able to create more birthing centers, schools, medical stations, and a safe and supportive environment for expectant mothers and their children in this remote region.“

Through their donations, as well as the purchase of lottery tickets and successful bids, actors such as Christof Arnold with his wife Petra, Markus Böker with his daughter Selma, Cornelia Corba, Wolfgang Fierek with his wife Djamila, Peter Finkbeiner, Michel Guillaume with his wife Georgia, Peter Kollmann, Gabrielle Odinis, the painter Kiddy Citny, artists Charlie Glass with his wife Andrea, Marianne & Michael, Margarita Hayer, Mike Kraus with his band, and Joan Orleans, along with TV presenter Karen Webb with Natascha Grün, entrepreneurs Nicky Hübner, Werner Lindinger, Dunja Siegel, and Willy Umland, Sévigné owner Jonas Fink, H-Hotels CFO Thomas Querl, photographer York Hovest with his wife Saskia, Manuel Neuer’s manager Thomas Kroth, Jakob Schöffel from the Schöffel Foundation, and former BMW manager Hans-Reiner Schröder, made a significant contribution to the projects of the Share Happiness Foundation.
