Igudesman & Joo captivate with a humorous Pre-Halloween Showcase
Munich, October 31, 2023 – Renowned artists Igudesman & Joo presented a Pre-Halloween Showcase last night in the appropriately decorated showroom of Steinway & Sons Munich. At this exclusive event, attended by 50 selected business partners and celebrities, the two musicians transported their audience on a musical journey infused with magic and humor.
hyViolinist Aleksey Igudesman and pianist Hyung-ki Joo, fresh from their USA tour with John Malkovich, flew to Munich to entertain their audience. The charismatic artists enchanted guests with their unique style that combines classical music and comedy. The musicians showcased an impressive selection of pieces ranging from Mozart to contemporary compositions. With piano solos on a blood-red Steinway grand piano and virtuoso violin performances, they demonstrated their exceptional skills. However, it wasn’t just the music that made this evening unforgettable: Igudesman & Joo once again showcased their comedic talent, eliciting hearty laughter from the audience. With original sketches and humorous anecdotes, they brought smiles to the faces of the spectators, immersing them in a spooky yet amusing Halloween atmosphere.

Among those who enjoyed the evening where music and humor were perfectly combined were Steinway host Joe Plakinger, drummer and composer Curt Cress with his wife Claudia and granddaughter Lotti, musicians Charlie Glass with his wife Andrea, Margarita Hayer, and Joan Orleans, music producer Steffen Harning, actresses Sophie Adell and Cornelia Corba, moderators Uschi Dämmrich von Luttitz, Armand Presser and Markus Othmer with Laura Luckas, as well as former BMW manager Hans-Reiner Schröder.
