Charlie Glass shines with platinum on the pink grand piano
Munich, September 13, 2023 – Pianist, producer, and all-around entertainer Charlie Glass received a platinum award from the Federal Music Industry Association (BVMI) for 200,000 sold units, which he received last night during an exclusive concert. At the platinum award ceremony at Steinway & Sons in Munich, Charlie Glass presented some songs from his latest album „Zeit,“ which was released this year.
Around 50 companions of the artist followed the invitation to „The Artist Living Room“ at Steinway & Sons at Maximiliansplatz in Munich. The Federal Music Industry Association (BVMI) awarded the artist with the coveted platinum award for selling over 200,000 units of his children’s album „Kinder Weihnacht – die 30 schönsten Weihnachtslieder für Kinder“ (Children’s Christmas – the 30 most beautiful Christmas songs for children). At the Barbie pink Steinway grand piano (Model B-211), Charlie Glass played – in addition to songs from his latest album „Zeit,“ which was released this year – national and international covers ranging from Udo Jürgens and AC/DC to Elton John and Robbie Williams, rocking the pink piano.
The guests were treated to a fine selection of finger food by Andrea Glas, the artist’s wife, who has been operating the Bistro Glaserl at Lake Ammersee for many years.
„I am filled with a lot of joy and pride that my family and many of my long-time friends and business partners came to celebrate this success with me,“ says Charlie Glass, who received the platinum award from EUROPA Family Entertainment (a label of Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH).
With rock cover tunes on the Steinway grand piano, the guests danced late into the night. Among them were Charlie Glass with his wife Andrea and mother Maria, Steinway host Joe Plakinger, actresses Sophie Adell, Nicole Belstler-Böttcher, Gabrielle Odinis, and Elli Stark, musicians Fancy and Bernie Paul, entrepreneur Dunja Siegel, concert organizer Werner Lindinger, moderator Armand Presser, journalist Marie von Waldburg, General Manager Hilton Munich Airport Markus Hussler, and all-around artist Mike Kraus.
Charlie Glass’s next concert will take place on November 2 at 8:00 p.m. in the Groundlift Studio at the Old Brewery in Stegen am Ammersee.
